The strange city of Carrion Hill has long loomed over the surrounding swamps in eastern Ustalav, yet its rulers have shifted many times through the centuries. Often enough that only a few sinister scholars and curious minds know the true nature of the hill’s original inhabitants—vile and depraved cultists of the Old Gods. Yet this morning, a dreadful recrudescence rises from the depths of buried nightmare in the vaults below Carrion Hill. A monster stalks the twisted alleys of the city, spreading panic before it and leaving destruction in its wake. Can the Carrion Hill Horror be stopped?

Carrion Hill is an adventure for 5th-level characters, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s oldest RPG. The adventure features a mix of urban and dungeon sites, and draws its inspiration from the popular writings of H. P. Lovecraft.

This adventure is set in the sinister country of Ustalav in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting, but can easily be adapted for any game world.

    I made a “Scary Paladin” with a 22 Cha-AC 28(29), flatfooted AC 27(28), Armor +11 (+2 Full Plate),+1 Dex(Replaced by Cha), Size +1, ring deflection +2, Cha Mod +6(Lore Oracle-Sidestep Secret (Su)), Smite 3/Day+6 (34),Fighting Defensively ( -4 to attack +2(+4 cautious fighter)AC(38), Total Def +4(+6 Cautious fighter)AC(40)
Underfoot +1 AC versus Larger Opponents Max AC (41)(42)(when I’m afraid and running away- Halfling Craven Trait) With Will’s boon I think I can make the enemy reroll an attack, Oracle Misfortune, Witch Misfortune, Abundant Revelations Feat – Misfortune, in a few levels, if I get hit I’m running away. I think that taking Mobility would be wrong at level 12. Or I can play the 4th level Cleric?

This is a module, worth 3 xp (a whole level!) and 4 pp

Will just gave us the special armor from Serpent's Ire and at 7th level I could apply the credit to a 6th. If we live--- the character will then be 7th for future games. I thought 2 levels Swashbuckler-Mouser/ 2 Sacred Shield Paladin/1 level Dual Cursed Oracle of Battle/1 Level Witch or Medium. 20 CHA would get my saves up and when I smite everyone in the party's AC would go up 5. I know John and Tom have different ideas, but really "Beef" having the Armor Master is my inspiration, High AC and maybe giving a Halfling a chance at a Luck Domain Cleric to be useful out of combat like when Dan rolled at least ten DC30 Handle Animal checks one game. The furry guy playing the Bloodrager makes me want to flank but do we want a Tactician Samurai type out flanking on top of the rest of it? Or I can play the 4th level pregen Cleric?

Haha! I love the elaborately complicated multiclass strategy taking into consideration possible party composition combinations given who will be attending--all with pithy closing, "Or I can play the 4th level pregen Cleric?" I won't have anything in this level range so I'll need to pick a pregen. I could go "Kyra" Knightley. Then if you want to play pregen you could bring "Russel Crowe & the PeshBabies" if you'd rather.

Playing a pre-gen might be a good idea anyway. I wouldn't want to be responsible for offing a character you are fond of. I mean, d20 + Cthulu...just sayin'
