Interesting, the proposed S.F. No. 97, 4th Engrossment - 86th Legislative Session (2009-2010) Posted on Apr 29, 2009 is very similar to the MI MMMA LAW 1 (voter initiative), except MN’s Medical Marijuana Bill originally included a Section governing ‘Registered Organizations’; non-profit DISPENSARIES!
MI Law 1 of 2008 ...

Excerpt from MN SF 97, April 2009
Subdivision 1. Definition. For purposes of this section, "registered organization" means a nonprofit entity registered with the commissioner under this section that acquires, possesses, cultivates, manufactures, delivers, transfers, transports, supplies, or dispenses mrijuana, or related supplies and educational materials to registered qualifying patients ad the qualifying patients' registered primary caregivers. A registered organization is a primary caregiver, although it may supply marijuana to any number of registered qualifying patients who have designated it as one of the qualifying patient's primary caregivers. A registered organization may not possess more than the allowable amount of marijuana.

Read the entire Bill at the previous link!

Too bad for us, Pawlenty was in orifice!

Yeah dude. I think that both laws were written by MPP (Marijuana Policy Project), hence their similarities. I am not 100% sure, but I think that Minnesota's own Heather Azzi wrote them both. She's pretty much a rock star in the marijuana activism world. I guess that she writes a lot of different bills. I am pretty sure that she was behind South Dakota's ballot initiative as well... http://www.sdcompassi...
