If badminton is on your mind, you are definitely at the right place. We are the Modest Grass Badminton - A fun group of people who love badminton looking for more people who love badminton! ALL age groups, skill levels, genders, nationalities, cultures, species and shoe-sizes are welcome. You will make friends and find people like you here no matter who you are or what you do.
So you might be wondering… Why “Modest Grass”!? Why not "Humble Tomato" or "Cool Potato"? The first Modest Grass Badminton group actually sprouted in Taiwan and is called 勁草羽球 (Resilient Grass Badminton). The word "勁草" comes from the Chinese proverb "疾風知勁草" (Strong wind tests the strength of the grass). Our choice of using Grass to represent ourselves reflects our philosophy:
Be humble. Be strong.
We are tough without arrogance and will thrive with everyone around us. The Modest Grass can be as simple as a single blade of grass, yet can also become an endless field of green. We look forward for more like-minded people to join us and enjoy badminton.
