MoDev Hackathon @ LivingSocial

Note: RSVPs are also being taken at the MoDevUX registration website. Over 200 developers, designers and entrepreneurs have signed up. RSVP here or there but we must have all names accounted for in advance.

We're finishing things off right at MoDevUX with the 2nd MoDev Hackathon being held at the very cool and creative offices of LivingSocial in downtown Washington, DC.

See the awesome prize list below for those ready and willing to take on the challenge. Dust off that SDK and bring your favorite APIs or meet fancy new ones there, it's time to create the next killer native or mobile web-app.

The rules are simple:

1) Hackers must be onsite (unless prior approval received by organizer for virtual participation)
2) Hacks must be built during the hours of the event and must be new, no modifications of existing apps
3) No PowerPoint or Keynote to present, must be a demo (simulators okay!)
4) API and other prize providers will determine winners

No recruiters, please.

It was an excellent opportunity to both try out new ideas in rapid application development as well as seeing creative ideas for apps from many other people. The space was well set up and the facility very good.

Alex, see the link next to Mashery. It's a very nice list. We'll push out a list of APIs and prizes next week as well. Pete

What are the APIs for the contest?

    March 30, 2012

  • Pete E.

Ryan - your choices will be guided by what prizes are available from the API providers. However, you are welcome to create something without them if you wish, you just won't qualify for the fun stuff.
