Come and meet other new moms. Enjoy free coffee, smoothies, and snacks! Learn about the fall series of Mommy Chat, which officially starts on September 13th.
Mommy Chat is a professionally facilitated support and discussion group for new moms and their babies led by Jeanine O'Rourke, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mother of two. This popular series has been offered for the past seven years. Designed to break moms out of the isolation and stress of 24/7 parenting, Mommy Chat is the "Thinking Mom's" alternative to clique-ish Play Groups.
Each week there is a different discussion topic, ranging from birth stories, sleep deprivation, and sexuality, to parenting role-models and work-life balance. The meetings will be held on 5 consecutive Fridays (September 13, 20, 27, October 4, and 11) from 10:30am -12pm at the Cedars House cafe in a private meeting space. Discussions are moderated to ensure they are safe, confidential, and non-judgmental. Come to the free open house and meet other moms who are missing showers and sleep! After that, if you decide to join, the cost for the entire 5-week series is $100.
