Monty invite you to Oxford!

Taste an alternative English lesson and practise your spoken English with new friends!

This is an exclusive opportunity to learn more about English culture and spend your spare time with friends. Visit Oxford and Oxfordshire by private minibus. Experience ancient British traditions; discover colleges, myths and literature of the most famous University City in the World with an English teacher as your native speaking guide!

8.45 am -Meeting point: Finchley Road  Station (Simona and Saulo will be waiting there)

We will depart from O2 Centre, 255 Finchley Rd, O2 Centre, London, Greater London NW3 6LU.

11.00 am - arrive in Oxford
11.30 am - Visit Ashmolean Museum
Founded in 1683, the Ashmolean is Britain’s first public museum and home to the University of Oxford’s world-class collections of art and archaeology.
1 pm - Lunch Time!! Picnic to share in the Park (everyone is welcome to bring some food to share together).
2.30 pm- Visit Merton College and Library
The first fully self-governing College in the University was founded in 1264 by Walter de Merton. Over the centuries, many eminent scholars and cultural leaders have called Merton home. They include four Nobel Prize winners, the physician who discovered the circulation of blood, JRR Tolkien and TS Elliot.
4.30 pm – Set off towards London
5.00 pm –A very British Cream Tea in Oxfordshire: history and traditions of the British Empire.
6.00 pm – Return to London
7.30 pm – arrival at Finchley Road Station

Emergency mobile phone numbers to contact during the day

Please take these three mobile phone numbers that you can ring during the day (please only ring if it is absolutely necessary). Simona’s number is[masked], Fabiola’s number is[masked] or Saulo’s number is[masked] 993. Although we will try, it is unlikely that we will be able to respond to texts. We will also be unable to delay the coach arrival/departure time or other planned events as we have to adhere to a tight schedule.

The price doesn’t include:

• British Cream Tea in Oxfordshire. Take a traditional Tea there could cost around £5.
• Meals, drinks and personal expenses.

After extensive research, we believe that the cost of £30 for the whole trip is very reasonably priced compared to commercial coach trips to Oxford. It would not be possible to plan a trip of this scale without an organisation fee included in the price. We really enjoy organising events and to meet new people. Monty English language school is a very friendly MeetUp group where everyone is there to meet new people.

All payments are to be made online in full if you decide to RSVP. Payments are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled or rescheduled. We hope members will understand that if we provided one person with a refund then every person would be entitled to a refund. If we allowed that to happen then we would risk losing the substantial amount we have already paid for the whole trip. You could to make the payment in cash at MeetUp class.

We hope that we have covered everything. However, if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can do so via email through this website or [masked] . If you leave a voice-mail, I promise to return your call ASAP.
We're very confident this will be a thoroughly enjoyable and exceptionally interesting day.

Kind regards
Monty Team
