SUMMARY:MMB Tuesday Ride-Monument Preserve!
DESCRIPTION:Monument Mountain Bikers!\nOur weekly Tuesday Preserve Ride an
d Routes Outfitters!\n\nTim will attend the October 6th ride.\n\nYou know
 it\, you love it. It’s a 1.5 hour intermediate-to-advanced ride packed w
ith 10–12 miles of moderate technical terrain\, about 1\,000+ feet of pu
nchy elevation\, and plenty of chances to test your skills and legs.\n\n
⏰ We roll out with the goal of wrapping by 7:00PM\, but the route? That
’s where the fun begins. We will read the group (and the trail condition
 s) to pick the perfect loop. Whether it’s tight switchbacks\, rocky desc
ents\, or flowy forest singletrack\, we tailor the ride to the group’s v
 ibe—sometimes mellow\, sometimes spicy\, always memorable.\n\n🌲 Expec

 • Technical sections to keep you sharp\n• Scenic stretches to remind y
ou why we ride\n\n* Best of all...it's our home course!\n\nAfter the ride\
, we'll head over to Routes Outfitters and meet up with the Trailblazers f
 or a beer and pizza!

SUMMARY:Thursday Evening MMB Ride-Sandstone Ranch!
DESCRIPTION:Monument Mountain Bikers!\n**Sandstone: A Thursday Evening Cla
ssic!**\n\nJoin us for one of MMB’s favorite intermediate-level rides—
Sandstone Ranch always rewards us on a Thursday night! Expect about 1.5 ho
urs of pure flowy fun on this 8-mile singletrack loop (or 10–11 miles wi
th the bonus section). The trail winds through two scenic loops\, weaving
in and out of the trees with sweeping views of the Front Range.\n\nThe nor
th loop offers a solid downhill followed by a long climb\, while the south
loop delivers punchy rollers and a thrilling 1.1-mile descent to finish.
It’s short\, fast\, and packed with variety—perfect for shaking off th
e week.\n\nBring a chair and your favorite post-ride beverage for some tai
lgate time afterward. Depending on the mood\, we might head to *The Spur o
f the Moment* in Larkspur to keep the good times rolling. We'll decide apr
 ès ride.

SUMMARY:MMB Moab Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Monument Mountain Bikers!\n**Let's go to MOAB\, MMBs!**\n\n30
Sept Updates to Saturday October 10 Plan\n\nWe're heading back to Moab for
a long weekend of riding\, with everything from one of the biggest point-
to-point rides in Moab to family-friendly desert singletrack.\n\nCome for
the whole weekend or join us for whatever fits your schedule.\nThis is a s
ocial club weekend\, not a guided trip. Riders are responsible for choosin
g terrain appropriate for their ability\, carrying the necessary food\, wa
ter\, tools and supplies\, and having offline access to the routes.\n\n**F
RIDAY – ARRIVAL & DINNER**\nGet into town\, get settled and get the bike
 s ready.\n6:00 PM – Pasta Jay's\nWe'll kick off the weekend over dinner\
, meet everyone and go over Saturday's Whole Enchilada plans.\n\n**SATURDA
 Y – 2 Teams\, One Adventure**\nSaturday is our big ride.\nIntermediate \
\| 17\\-23 miles depending on starting point Both rides include the Raptor
Route\\\, a lesser know\\\, flow\\-forward option that runs parallel but
just south of the Whole Enchilada before splitting off toward the Sand Fla
ts Recreation Area\\.\n\nWe'll have two starting options:\n\n*Team 1* hops
on a \\~10:30AM shuttle to the top of Kokopelli/UPS and rides down Kokope
lli → UPS → Eagle Eye → Hawks Glide → Falcon Flow → Kestrel Run.
Team 1 will be joining Team 2 at the top of Raptor Route\, between UPS an
d Eagle Eye. The full route for Team 1 is \\~23 miles to town. 17 miles tr
 ail/6 on the road.\n\n*Team 2* would catch a different shuttle @ \\~12:30.
Raptor Route (Eagle Eye → Hawks Glide → Falcon Flow → Kestrel Run
 → Sand Flats Road) is \\~17 miles back to town\, 11 trail/6 road.\n\nMTB
  Project Raptor Route Description: https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/706832
4/raptor-route-alternate-enchilada-out\n\nALL of these routes are downhill
focused\, hence the shuttle. These routes are far less technical than the
Whole Enchilada route\, and there are plenty of A/B lines for those seeki
ng more or less desert chonk.\n\nFinal starting locations will depend on t
rail and weather conditions.\n\nCOME PREPARED:\nBring your full trail kit
 for this ride.\nThat means tire repair\, tube\, pump/CO₂\, tools\, quick
-link\, basic first aid and whatever else you need to be self-sufficient.\
nWe should wrap up back in Moab at around 2-3PM.\nFor this route I will pe
rsonally be carrying 2 liters\, and a bottle of high carb electrolytes.\nK
nee/elbow protection is strongly recommended.\n\nShuttles are \\~$45-50 pe
r person.\n\n**SUNDAY – GROUP RIDE**\nWe'll pick one primary Sunday ride
as a group based on everyone's interest\, legs and conditions.\nWe'll tak
e a vote as the weekend approaches. Stay tuned to the MMB WhatsApp group f
or the vote\, final route\, and meeting details.\n(If you're attending and
aren't currently in the WhatsApp group\, reach out to me directly and I'l
 l get you added.)\n\nRoutes under consideration include:\n*MAG 7 – POISO
 N SPIDER EXIT*\nAdvanced \\| \\~25–30 miles\nOne of Moab's classic point
-to-point rides.\nExpect fast desert singletrack early before things becom
e increasingly technical through Gold Bar Rim and Golden Spike.\nOur plann
ed finish would be Poison Spider\, NOT Portal.\nThis preserves the technic
al character of the full Mag 7 experience while avoiding the extremely exp
osed Portal descent.\nMag 7 requires a commercial shuttle and a small addi
tional shuttle fee. Again: worth it.\n\n*MAG 5 / UPPER MAG 7*\nIntermediat
 e\\+ / Advanced \\| \\~10–20 miles depending on route\nA shorter option
using trails such as Getaway\, Bull Run\, Arth's Corner\, Great Escape and
Little Canyon without committing to the Gold Bar/Golden Spike end of Mag
7.\nLots of excellent Moab singletrack and slickrock with plenty of ways t
o adjust the route.\nDepending on our route\, this may also require a shut
tle and small additional fee.\n\n*NAVAJO ROCKS*\nIntermediate / Intermedia
 te\\+ \\| \\~17–18 miles full loop\nOne of Moab's best all-around trail
 systems.\nRolling slickrock\, fast singletrack\, short technical sections
and spectacular views. The full loop makes a substantial ride\, but the sy
stem also gives us options to shorten things if Saturday has taken a toll.
 \n\n*CAPTAIN AHAB / HYMASA*\nAdvanced / Expert \\| \\~9 miles\nShorter mil
eage does NOT mean easy.\nExpect a sustained technical climb followed by o
ne of Moab's signature technical descents: slickrock\, ledges\, drops\, li
ne choice and plenty of opportunities to test tired legs.\n\n*GEMINI BRIDG
ES AREA*\nIntermediate+ / Advanced\nThe Gemini Bridges area gives us a lot
of flexibility to build a ride using portions of the Mag 7 network withou
t necessarily committing to the full Mag 7.\nGreat scenery\, classic deser
t terrain and lots of possibilities depending on what the group wants.\n\n
*OTHER OPTIONS*\nMoab has no shortage of them. If conditions or the group
point us somewhere else\, we have plenty of alternatives.\nWe'll vote on W
 hatsApp.\n\n**MONDAY – CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE / FAMILY DAY**\nMonday is d
eliberately flexible.\nFor anyone sticking around\, we'll mix things up wi
th shorter and more approachable rides. Families\, spouses and younger rid
ers are encouraged to join.\nWe'll decide what makes sense based on who is
still in town\, ability levels and what everyone has already ridden.\n\n*
 KLONDIKE BLUFFS*\nBeginner → Advanced\nOur leading family-day option.\nK
londike gives us an enormous amount of flexibility. Trails like Jurassic\,
Jasper and Dino Flow provide approachable desert riding\, while stronger
riders can branch onto trails like Baby Steps\, EKG\, Mega Steps and Alask
a.\nWe can build anything from a short family ride to a much bigger techni
 cal loop\, and the dinosaur tracks don't hurt.\n\n*RAPTOR ROUTE*\nIntermed
iate / Intermediate+\nAnother great possibility for Monday.\nThe Raptor Ro
ute strings together newer trails on the south side of Moab\, can be confi
gured in several ways\, and each leg intersects Sand Flats Road for easy b
ailout if desired. Expect fast\, flowy desert singletrack mixed with enoug
h rocks and technical features to keep things interesting.\nThis could be
a particularly good option for riders looking for something different afte
 r the classic Moab systems.\n\n*MOAB BRANDS / BAR-M*\nBeginner → Interme
diate+\nBrands remains one of the best places in Moab for mixed abilities\
, with trails ranging from easy family-friendly riding to more technical o
ptions.\nMany of us have ridden Bar-M/Brands several times already\, thoug
h\, so if we ride here\, expect me to mix it up rather than simply repeat
our usual route.\n\n*NAVAJO ROCKS*\nIntermediate\nIf we don't ride it Sund
ay\, Navajo Rocks remains an excellent Monday possibility.\nWe don't neces
sarily need to ride the entire loop. Half-loop combinations can make for a
great shorter ride with plenty of slickrock and classic Moab scenery.\n\n
*AND WHATEVER ELSE SOUNDS GOOD...*\nMonday is intentionally loose.\nIf som
ebody has been staring at a trail all weekend thinking\, “I really want
to ride that\,” this is the day to make it happen.\nSplit into groups. R
ide something new. Take the family out. Go chase another technical trail.
Or ride for an hour and start the drive home.\n\n*FOOD*\nFRIDAY – 6:00 P
M\nPasta Jay's\nOur official kickoff dinner.\n\nWe'll coordinate the rest
of the weekend's meals as we get closer\, but some good options around tow
 n include:\nTrailhead Public House & Eatery – Casual burgers\, sandwiche
s and pub food.\nThe Spoke on Center – Burgers\, salads and a casual dow
 ntown atmosphere.\nThe Broken Oar – Hearty post-ride American food.\nThe
Blu Pig – BBQ and live music.\nThai Bella – Excellent Thai and a good
break from burgers/pizza.\nDesert Bistro – A nicer dinner option for sm
aller groups.\n\n*A FEW FINAL NOTES*\nOctober in Moab can mean everything
from warm desert sun to snow at elevation. Come prepared for changing cond
itions.\nFor the bigger rides\, bring:\n• Full repair kit\n• Spare tub
e regardless of whether you're tubeless\n• Plenty of food\n• Electroly
tes\n• More water than you think you need\n• Layers\n• Basic first a
id\n• Offline trail maps\n• Charged phone\n• Appropriate protective
gear\n\nThe Whole Enchilada and Mag 5/7 involve commercial shuttles with a
small additional cost. We'll coordinate those as a group. They're absolut
ely worth it.\nWalk whatever you aren't comfortable riding. Nobody gets a
trophy for sending something they shouldn't.\nMost importantly\, this is a
n MMB weekend. We're going to ride some incredible trails\, hang out with
good people and have a hell of a time in Moab.\n\nRSVP\, save the date\, a
nd keep an eye on WhatsApp as we get closer!
