In this talk we will look at how we can create an NLP pipeline to process natural language text for purposes of extracting named entities such as persons, places, and things. We will use opensource Java libraries, learn about the principles of an NLP pipeline, and discuss real-world use-cases. Takeways from this talk will include knowledge of various open source NLP libraries and NLP basics and terminology.
