What we’re about
A casual meeting of go players on the Upper West Side and Union Square in Manhattan.
Beginners always welcome.
Tuesdays from 5 - closing
The Hungarian Pastry Shop
1030 Amsterdam Ave (between 110th and 111th), Manhattan
Sundays from 11:00-4
Barnes & Noble (Union Square)
33 E 17th, Manhattan
We have boards and stones, but please bring your own if you have a portable set. Absolutely free but PLEASE get a drink, dessert or both to support the good folks at the Hungarian Pastry Shop and Barnes & Noble who so graciously allow us to use their storied and humble space.
This is a casual coffee house environment, although there is no music, don't expect a Go tournament kind of silence, but rather a din of conversation that is arguably the vanguard of intellectual New York.
