If you're not new to igo/weichi/baduk what's your approximate strength?

I'm not sure. My guess is that I'm in the neighborhood of 10 kyu. Sometimes I think I'm stronger than that, sometimes weaker. I just don't play good human opponents often enough to tell!

Besides igo/weiqi/baduk, what's one other thing that you're passionate about?

Here are a few things: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Schubert, Wagner, Haydn, Prokofiev, Schoenberg, ... Old novels and old poems (and some new ones). Enjoying the outdoors, both urban & wild. Cognitive Science. Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, James Brown, ... On the less snooty side: TV shows that make me laugh; and the NFL. I still hope that someday I'll be able to finish a novel or a book of poems.

I'm a math teacher in Brooklyn. I love Go, and want to see if I can become a strong player. Generally, I enjoy spending time around people who like to think.
