MTB Tour Day: Engelberg / Melchsee / Hasliberg

The weather for Sunday should be good in the area of central Switzerland and Engelberg offers a very good option for a mountain bike tour day.
We will meet at Zürich HB and we will take the train to Engelberg.
Depending on the group preferences and skills there are two options of tours to do:
Option 1)
Once in Engelberg we will go to take the gondola and chairlift that will take us to the Jochpass where we will start our tour.
The tour goes from the Jochpass all the way to Tannensee where we will join the Melchsee-Hasliberg tour described here.

Option 2)
From Engelberg we would go to take the Fürenalp gondola and do the Surenenpass tour, the description is here. This tour is both physically and technically more demanding

Biking level: The tour is expected to be intermediate to advance level, there might be sections where walking the bike may happen (no shame). The climbing will be around 700-1000 metres and the pace will be relax to enjoy the day.

For lunch, depending on the motivation of the group, we can either decide to stop at an alp restaurant on our way or we can choose to find a nice spot and eat some snacks.

What to bring: Helmet, bike in good condition, spare tube and tools, water, rain jacket, snacks, etc
