Details

Come to beautiful and cooler Prescott to improve mountain biking skills on smooth, hard-packed forest trails, similar terrain as the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Practicing the basics in forgiving terrain is the best way to build your confidence so that you can enjoy all types of terrain.

CLINIC DETAILS:

This clinic is best suited for riders who have experience riding on single-track but would like to improve the basic skills and have more control. We'll start with an eval of your position on the bike, then you'll get hands on tips on techniques as you ride along these beautiful forested roads, learning better cornering, climbing, navigating obstacles and more! We will also be stopping at several specific locations to repeat and practice skills.

Plan on about 3 hours for the clinic. We will also have a ride planned for Sunday for anyone who wishes to camp Saturday night (see link below for optional camping), so we can make it a MOUNTAIN BIKING WEEKEND!

COST: $85 p/p (RSVP's will be contacted for payment options)

CLINIC LOCATION: Granite Basin Rec Area, Cayuse Trailhead. From Iron Springs Road in Prescott, take a right onto Granite Basin Rd (signage for rec area), and shortly after passing the Yavapai Campground on the left, look for the Cayuse Equestrian Trailhead on the right. Take that dirt road to the lot. There is a $6 self-pay parking fee which will cover you at all trailheads.

START TIME: 9:00AM

OPTIONAL CAMP-OUT LOCATION: Yavapai Campground Reservations (https://www.recreation.gov/camping/Yavapai_Campground/r/campsiteCalendar.do?page=calendar&search=site&contractCode=NRSO&parkId=138840)
