Hiking the Ridge Between Mts. Säntis and Altmann

Meet at 7am Zurich HB taking the train at 7.09 at the meeting point sign under the clock

The cable-car to Santis costs CHF 16 one way with halbtax

Return from Unterwasser using bus 790, time will depend on when we arrive, however it should not be too late so we should reasonably expect to return to Zurich early on Saturday evening.

Fantastic ridge hike from Säntis , highly recommended as a great short day out from Zurich with minimum effort and maximum enjoyment

As you can see from the detailed description most of the height is gained using uplift, leaving the ridge itself and the descent which gives an all in time of 4-5 hours. You will need a head for heights, but hey, this is the Swiss Alps.

I doesn't get much better than this so why not give it a try!
