The Sun Tavern
Our second free screening film will be
'A Tale of Two Sisters' at
The Sun Tavern at Covent Garden on Tuesday 20th March from 6pm onwards. We have the upstairs of the pub booked for that date- its quite a large area with a big screen and a separate bar, and will seat 40+ so the more the merrier! The showing is free but please bring beer money. The upstairs bar will be tended before and after the film, but if you really can't wait for a drink during, you can always pop downstairs. We'll start the film soon after 7pm. A quick note on the film: I'd call it a stylish neo-gothic Korean horror which works on elements of creepiness and clever psychological tricks. There is some blood content but not so much as to make the squiemish head for the toilets. I'm not going to say much more on the film itself, except than right now the best made, most creative horror is coming out of Korea, and this is a prime example. Even if you're not into horror, this film is certainly a lot more than that! PLEASE NOTE! There is a LIMIT of 25 people for this meetup. With meetup FULL, people who have RSVPed 'maybe' will be asked for a definate answer, which may free up a few places. If the meetup is showing as FULL and you DEFINATELY want to come, EMAIL ME. Also, since this film is SUBTITLED, if you have trouble reading them I'd recommend turning up for 6 to get a seat close to the screen!! This is a joint meetup with the
London Goth Meetup Group. Our last free screening was a great success, so hope to see you there!
