Just to remind everyone of the annual event where buildings that are normally closed to the public are open for the weekend and it is all free.

There are several cinemas on the list although only a few are giving extra access than normal.

Some are now Bingo Halls (Granada Cinemas in Greenwich and Wandsworth) where you can already see the main hall if you play bingo, and some are religious centres like the Gaumont State Cinema in Brent. However, there are a couple that look interesting.

The Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley (Barnet) is one of the oldest working cinemas in the country and there are tours around the whole building including the projection room.

The BFI IMAX on the South Bank will give tours of the building including the Projection room but you need to e-mail before hand.

But the one I like the look of is The Capitol Forest Hill Cinema (now a pub) which was a 1920's Art Deco Egyptian Style Cinema. Pre-booked tours (by phone) guide us around the untouched first floor areas. Might be good.

If anyone is interested in any of these then let us know and we can arrange it for you, but there are many more places. Check out :- http://www.londonopen...

Enjoy.
