About the film
An intimate and galvanizing portrait of survival during the onslaught and aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, TROUBLE THE WATER centers on Kim and Scott Roberts, a couple from the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. Stranded in the city with their families and neighbors, they bought a camcorder the day before Katrina hit. As the disaster unfolds, they bear witness to two cataclysms: first, the destruction of their world by the hurricane, and then the abandonment and neglect of the authorities.
