Create Peace in Your Life Using Water

In our society of employment downsizing, economic downturns, we as a people are spiraling downward. Stress, fear and depression are up while peace is at an all time low. One way to increase the peace meter and lower the stress meter is through water. Yes, water. That odorless, colorless liquid we use everyday without ever giving it a thought. Perhaps it is time to think more about it.

In the past several years, water has been sending us a very important message ~ that we can take it for granted no longer. Hurricanes, tsunamis, and unprecedented rainfall are our eco-system?s way of waking us up. Yet, some of us are still asleep.

Over the past several months I have been managing my chronic pain and the stress of it with the use of my daily water moments. We have water moments all day, everyday. We shower, bath, brush our teeth, wash our face and hands, cook, garden, swim, and even cry. There are hundreds of uses for this precious resource that we may not even think about. So let?s start thinking about it while we lower our stress and create inner peace in our lives.

Every water moment of the day, STOP, TAKE 3 DEEP BREATHS, inhaling and holding to the count of four, while exhaling the word ?water.? Then, GIVE THANKS for the water you are freely using. This simple yet profound exercise will take no more than one minute, but it is one more minute you give peace to your planet. Imagine what we can do if we would take these conscious water moments?
