I lost my memory in Hollywood. I've had a million visions, bad and good. There's something in the air in Hollywood. I tried to leave it, but I never could… said Madonna. And that is a fact my friends.

What's going on guys 👋 I've been reading recently a book called Chaos by Tom O'Neil (which you should read btw). And I guess my reasons are because different sources seem to come up with their own take when it comes to the facts of the Manson Murders. The topic is so fascinating and conflated that I guess even Quintin Tarantino decided to do his own fictionalised version that draws heavily from the historical events and other characters from the late 1960s. The film weaves in a narrative of two fictional characters against the backdrop of this so called Hollywood Golden Age era. Another fact is that back in 2019, Tarantino said that this would be his final movie and so far he has meant it. Wow, I really hope he changes his mind or could it be he is also trying to run away from Hollywood?

Anyway, this is one of those films that I think has stewed well over time, and with the revival of the investigative reading, it will be cool to revisit this again with fresh eyes. Here is the schedule breakdown for tonight::

7:00 PM: Drinks at the Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find me with a meetup sign..
8:15 PM: Then it's down stairs to Screen 1 at Prince Charles Cinema. I have selected seat D1
11:10 PM: We reconvene briefly to Review & Score the Film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
