The first Pirate and Princess Day at Fernbank was so successful and enjoyable that the Staff of Fernbank Museum have invited the members of the Guild back to the August event.  The crew will be able to enjoy the Mythical Creatures exhibit again at no cost (as long as ye' be wearin' yer garb, mateys!) and thar be extra free tickets fer yer friends and family members who have not been brave enough to join up.  That said, ye' MUST RSVP by Thursday morning (August 4th) so Agave can provide Fernbank a list of crew members and number of guest tickets.  If ye don't RSVP, there be no guarantee that ye will get free admission.  We have been asked to leave our flasks at home (this is one of those kid friendly events) as well as secure all weapons (sheathed and piece tied please) as we mingle with the locals from 10:00 to 2:00.  The Museum is open until 5:00 so ye can stay later than 2:00 though the crew will moving to the James Joyce Pub in Avondale Estates for some rum and grub.  There be a restaurant at Fernbank as well as picnic tables so ye can bring yer own grub if ye don't want to wait to sail into the James Joyce.  Fernbank will also provide a room with water and soft drinks fer the crew to stay hydrated.  Keep a watchful eye, mateys, tis said that thar be Mermaids as well as the Kraken in these waters and the crew who sailed with us on July 9th did see both.

I had a great time meeting up with the crew again, I'm slow to open up around new people so it's helping me get to know them better. As always the museum was great and the kids were lot of fun, even if adults keep asking us why there are no princesses in our group..

I really enjoyed hanging about with all the other pirates, getting my pirate/princess name: Captain of the Jewels, and especially taking pics with the kids and blowing bubbles for them. Children are so fun and magical, and they understand the appeal of dressing up better than any grown up can.

Had another great time, met several members of the A.P.W.G. I did not know. Gave away a lot of Gold Booty to the kids!

I had a blast! Seeing old friends, and meeting new ones, is a fantastic way to spend a saturday. Spending time with all the kids was great fun, as well.

Had an excellent time once again with the Guild, and enjoyed getting to meet some new faces among the group. The crowd at Fernbank was much smaller this time around, but I think everyone still had a blast!
