View ROBOT & FRANK

PLEASE NOTE SITE & TIME CHANGE!

Hi Everyone.

This event had been scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Maywood Public Library's basement.  They had a flood over the weekend.  We have done an emergency RESCHEDULE TO THE WALDWICK PUBLIC LIBRARY.  Waldwick closes earlier than Maywood, so I have pushed showtime to 7:20 PM to give a little wiggle room.  Meetup only allows starting times in 15 minute increments, which is why this reads 7:15 PM.  We will resume in Maywood in June.  Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

The original text appears below, but it is superceded by the above information.

Infinite Images presents a science fiction, fantasy or horror film at the Maywood Public Library in Maywood, New Jersey (between Hackensack and Paramus) on the second Wednesday of each month. This is one of a number of events sponsored monthly by the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County,

www.sfabc.org.

This is a character study of a crusty curmudgeon (Frank Langella) who receives an inadvertent opportunity to get back to work as a cat burglar when his son buys a robot helper for him.

We'll have dessert at a nearby diner after the film.

Despite the slow pacing of the movie, it was enjoyable. The facillities at the Waldwick Library are quite nice, but their chairs are very hard. We had a nice group going out to Matthew's Diner afterwards with very enjoyable discussion.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the movie. This is a quiet story about change, getting old, and family dynamics. Strong cast, particularly Frank Langella. I discovered a couple of things I missed when we talked about it (and other topics) at the diner.

The Maywood Library flooded over the weekend and the movie has been moved to the Waldwick Library. I have sent individual emails to everyone who rsvp'd that they would attend informing them of this change. This notice is intended for anyone who was thinking of coming and had not rsvp'd.
