View EUROPA REPORT

Infinite Images presents a science fiction, fantasy or horror film at the Maywood Public Library in Maywood, New Jersey (between Hackensack and Paramus) on the second Wednesday of each month. This is one of a number of events sponsored monthly by the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County, www.sfabc.org.

This film is the story of an ill-fated expedition to Europa, a moon of Jupiter by Ecuadorian director Sebastian Cordero. People who watched GRAVITY may find the movie especially interesting.

We'll have dessert at a nearby diner after the film.

I think Gravity is a better movie & I found that to be very slow paced, but some of the cinematography was fantastic. Didn't feel that way with Europa Report.

There were eight of us there. There were a number of last minute cancelations and no shows from people in various Meetups. This is a found-footage independent film about an ill-fated journey to a moon of Jupiter. I liked it a good deal and enjoyed its realistic setting and brave, dedicated characters doing their best when things fell apart. Others were not as happy, feeling the film was slow-moving. Four of us went to Matthews' Diner after the show.

The trailer looks good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2BfobyYOmU Wish I could say the same for the review on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2051879/

Trailers can misguide, but I frequently find I disagree with the paid critics. Sounds like it's based on an interesting premise.
