Our trip is on Sunday and starts at Deer's Mill covered bridge and meanders through Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park. You will float through deep canyons, beneath historic covered bridges, and maybe catch a glimpse of a Bald Eagle. Islands and beaches offer serene spots for picnicking, and looking for fossils and Indian relics. Winding through the heart of Parke County Covered Bridge Country, this trip is, no doubt, the most scenic in the Midwest. After 15 miles the trip ends at Cox Ford Covered Bridge. Depending on water level this trip typically takes *6 hours.

This is a 15 mile trip on the lower Sugar Creek that goes through Shades and Turkey Run State Parks. It ends at Cox's Ford Covered Bridge, this trip typically takes 6 hours depending on water levels.

I would reserve early as this is a Holiday weekend and I suspect the rentals will go quickly. Those with your own boats, we will self-shuttle.
