Have you read and do you agree to the accident waive and release of liability? (a "Yes" answer is required for this question) found here:

yes I have read it, and yes I agree to it.

What paddling equipment do you currently own?

Jackson Monstar playboat, Jackson Karma Large Creek Boat, WS Tsunami 145, Current Designs Sirroco, Dagger Axiom 9.0, dry suit, wet suit, helmet, spray skirt, PFD, and the all important paddle

How do you rate your experience with paddling? {Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert}

Advanced in river running. NOT so much in river play. Solid roll. Respectable eddy turns and peel outs; Class III rapids are OK. Class IV, gets perty scary. working up to class IV next summer on the New River Gorge.

How far are you willing to drive to an event?

All the way there.

Kayaking in moving water is an absolute blast!!! Paddling is a most exhilarating experience. Paddler for life. 2017 was great. I expect 2018 to be better. Cannot put enough emphasis on the quality people that paddle with this group!

What George D. is saying about this Meetup Group

For potential members, understand this. This group is about having fun. It is active, the folks that participate are super people, helpful to newbies, and welcoming to all that join. I joined when I bought a kayak in May 2014. Started paddling on subsequent Father's Day. This group has helped make kayaking an addiction for me. And so that is my warning to you. You may end up just like me. There are many others addicted to the sport for various reasons. And an awful lot of them are members here. Everyone was a newbie at some point, and that is never forgotten. You will not find anything except courteous, helpful folks, that recognize the value in sharing such a wonderful sport, just because it is a common theme among friends. Hope you join, and happy paddling wherever you choose to paddle! See you on a river or lake, somewhere in the area!
