SPEAKER: Shai Petel, SharePoint MVP and VP, KWIZCOM

SUBJECT: Build ONE SOLUTION for both SharePoint 2010 and 2013

In this session Shai Petel will share his personal experience in building and upgrading a SharePoint 2010 solution to be deployed and work on both SharePoint 2010 and 2013 in native mode (not B/C). During that process he gained a lot of valuable knowledge on working with VS2010 and VS2012 to be able to build one solution, and using replaceable tokens and other techniques he was able to use to produce 2010 and 2013 packages. Also, he gathered several tips on what to do (and not to do) today to be prepared for 2013 and to have an easy migration of customized solutions to 2013. His unique insight working for an ISV delivers a different point of view that most developers will benefit from.

Shai Petel is the co -founder of KWizCom Corp, acting as the VP of research and development for the company. He has been designing and developing SharePoint solutions since version 2001. He is a Microsoft certified trainer, MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010 and was awarded the MVP on 2011, 2012 and 2013. He also has a vast experience in working with dedicated in-house teams; introducing them to SharePoint and helping them plan, design and implement SharePoint solutions.

As usual, there will be lots of SWAG and pizza and drinks from our ever faithful sponsor, Gig-Werks!

Really enjoyed the presentation. Updating tokens based on which version you are deploying to is very handy.
