Weekday Pathfinder at Tower (Wed., May 1, 2012)

Pathfinder Society Scenario #35: Voice in the Void

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

Mystery strikes again at the problem-plagued Blackros Museum in Absalom and its curator, Nigel Aldain, needs your help. When a famed Osirian tomb raider returns to Absalom and disappears in the museum's basement, Aldain fears the worst. When strange sounds echo from below and several of the curator's night watchmen go missing, he panics and begs the Society to investigate the mystery and save his museum from the darkness that infests it.

Voice in the Void is a follow-up scenario to Pathfinder Society Scenario #5: Mists of Mwangi. When played together, the scenarios create a mini story arc in the famed Blackros Museum.

Tier 1-2: 1 left!

#2-13 Murder on the Throaty Mermaid.

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1-2 and 4-5).

While on a routine mission to escort a dignitary to the mysterious Mordant Spire aboard a disreputable smuggler's ship, the PCs find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery that could jeopardize the Pathfinder Society's relationship with the isolationist elves who call the citadel home. Can the cunning Pathfinders discover who among the ship's crew of scum and villains is responsible for the crime in time to clear their own names? This murder mystery upon the open sea features a mechanic allowing for a different killer each time it's run to ensure that no amount of word of mouth will spoil the investigation for any team of canny players.

1st level scrolls are 25g. So they can be very cost-effective.

No,that for sure I did not do.

The only part of this game which wasn't awesome was finishing during rush hour!

I will bring two other options for scenarios... Murder on the Throaty Mermaid and Icebound Outpost, in case we have folks who have already played Voice in the Void.

Sounds like a good idea. Both are tier 1-5s, so should be good for most of the people signing up. I know that Allen has already played Voice in the Void, so this would be a good option for him. Throaty Mermaid was a really fun scenario... albeit more than pushing the PG-13 rating at times. I really enjoyed it. I haven't played Icebound Outpost, but it sounds interesting.

Dave, it looks you'll be running "Throaty Mermaid" at sub-tier 1-2. Mark's "Voice in the Void" will also be at sub-tier 1-2.

Not letting me update my RSVP. Have lvl 1 magus, or lvl 3 archer (fighter).

Voice/Void is the only one Jen and I have not played. She hasn't done Icebound Outpost, but wouldn't want to get separated from me.

I will play anything except for icebound outpost as I play that the next day at FFG,

    Cleric 1
    monk 2
    Druid
pregen cleric or monk 2 on voice in the void (if the table is at the 1-2 tier)

I don't know, I will show up and just put me where ever I am needed

I have added an RSVP question... if you haven't already, would you please update your answers? Thank you.

Ok, from what I have form the "suggestion" so far...

    Me: Gunslinger ~4, Rogue ~4, Paladin ~2
    Robert: Inquisitor 1, Rogue 3, Sorcerer 5, Paladin 7
    Douglas: Ranger 4, Fighter 3, Sorc 3
    Douglas's Wife: Cleric 3, Bard 1

From these, we could go either 1-2 or 3-4... just depends on what we pick. Any preferences?

But, we also still have time, so we'll see who else we get!

I'm open, Jen (wife) would much prefer to run her 3rd cleric, at whatever tier.

      April 29, 2013

    • Jack B.

I could go either 1-2 or 3-4. So, probably one table of 1-2, and one of 3-4.

      April 29, 2013

  • Douglas V

Glad to see this expanded to two tables. Hopefully we can get one or two more folks along so we're not just running the minimum for each.

How many tables do you plan on running?

    April 28, 2013

    • Jack B.

We are now up to 2 tables. Don't want to go over that, since we are going without reservations (I called, they said we didn't need any, but just in case). Still, I am pleasantly surprised that we're already at 8 players + 2 GMs. That makes for 2 legal tables, though they may be a little tough! Let's hope we can get a few more ;)

      April 28, 2013

  • Dave C.

If I were you, I would open up the number allowed now. People will sometimes decide not to come if there is no opening. I can certainly GM a second table.

    April 28, 2013

    • Jack B.

Done, considering we already had a waiting list!!!

      April 28, 2013
