Thursday Night PFS at FFG - Aug 15th

Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-11: The Penumbral Accords

FULL

GM: Kjersten Gibson

Tier 1-2

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

The daughters of Absalom's mysterious Blakros family have long been among the most pursued maidens in the Inner Sea. Now the family's matriarch approaches the Pathfinder Society to help her break a centuries-old pact with the denizens of the Plane of Shadow to save her twin daughters from a life of servitude at the hands of the Onyx Alliance. Heading into the fan-favorite adventuring location of Blakros Museum, the PCs have only a short amount of time to break the Penumbral Accords and solidify the Pathfinder Society's ties to the powerful Blakroses.

Written by Owen K.C. Stephens

Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-25: You Only Die Twice

GM: Mark Kiefer - Seats open

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 5th to 9th level characters (Tiers: 5-6 and 8-9).

The Pathfinder Society sends you into the undead-ruled nation of Geb for an undercover mission, not disguised as undead, but temporarily transformed into a shambling, zombie version of yourself. Can you survive the ordeal to return to the land of the living, or will your final grave be among Geb’s bones?

Written by Hyrum Savage.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #20: King Xeros of Old Azlant

- FULL

GM: Ryan Bolduan

Tier: TBD

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 7th to 11th level characters (Tiers: 7–8 and 10–11).

Panic grips Absalom when a huge crystalline sailing vessel appears suddenly in the harbor. Identified as the King Xeros of Old Azlant, the ship presents a great opportunity for the Pathfinder Society. You and your fellow adventurers are summoned by Venture-Captain Adril Hestram and dropped aboard the King Xeros to explore it and report back. Only, what you find isn't an empty vessel, but a sinister ship with a vile intent.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the first and third Thursday of every month at the Fantasy Flight Games Event Center in Roseville, Minnesota. We try to schedule multiple low-tier tables and at least one high tier table for each session and manage three regular tables, with a fourth becoming a regular occurrence. Games start about 6:30 and last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:30) and the GMs arrive around 6 PM for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This Game Day at Fantasy Flight Games is hosted by Dave Cook (Event Organizer for FFG).

Good time had! And no PC deaths at our table, which was a nice change!

    Thanks for running Ryan!

    August 16, 2013

    • Ryan

Thanks Brian. Not my favorite kind of scenario to prep and run. No real room for GM creativity other than a slog through a very linear dungeon.

Good times getting swallowed whole and dropped to -8

Just talked to Mark... he was thinking that as a GM he should be "not attending"... he'll update this when he gets the chance.

      August 15, 2013

    • Jack B.

FYI - I also have a Rogue 6 (Silbeg, Adventurer Extraordinaire), if needed instead of Munny (and Vera)

      August 15, 2013

    • Jolene

It looks like he moved to no

      August 15, 2013

    • Andrew T.

Brian has a +1, and me

      August 14, 2013

  • Charles S.

ok I really want to know what is so bad about playing with or running an 8th lv wizard?

    August 12, 2013

    • Ryan C. B.

Absolutely nothing. As with any other class, race, feat, or spell there is nothing wrong with exercising any of the legal options or combinations of options available in Pathfinder Society Organized Play.

      1 · August 12, 2013

    • Ryan

There is absolutely nothing wrong with playing or running an 8th level wizard. My first character (the one who's passed 12) is a wizard.

      August 12, 2013

  • Sarah W.

Level 8 wizard for king Xeros, but I'd also like to join Chris and Robert's group at 10-11. I don't think Desiria minds playing up :)

    August 9, 2013

    • Kyle

Well I have two level 6s for you only die twice if thats tge case

      August 12, 2013

    • Ryan

Kjersten - in case you didn't know, there's a fancy coordinator's spreadsheet which each coordinator (in this case Dave) can use to help build his tables from those who have registered and their answers. Dave said that he'd know the actual party makeup on Wednesday when he sits down and organizes.

GMing King Xeros of Old Azlant!

    August 12, 2013

  • Charles S.

I have a situation which must be handled and cannot do Thursday. I can do the following meeting. Hopefully someone else can pick up a high tier and run it for us. Again, I am sorry

    August 12, 2013

  • Jack B.

Just to remind everyone, this will be the first day of the new season! That means that version 5.1(?) of the Guide will be in operation (which includes the new rules for out of tier gold, APL rules [play up or down], etc.)

This may mean it takes a few extra minutes to figure out which tier we'll be running on any scenario (but removes the potential for several minutes of debating!)

The newest version should be out some time Monday, but may be delayed...

Also, remember the new Inventory Track Sheets, that are mandatory for Season 5+ (starting Thursday). You do not have to retrofit all of your characters, but any purchases going forward need to be on them. I'll have extra copies with me, if people need some.

    GMing You Only Die Twice

    August 11, 2013

    • Jack B.

I'll be there with Munny, Lawman of Abadar (gun5,inq2)

      August 11, 2013

    • Ryan

One of my favorite scenarios, have fun!

      August 12, 2013

  • Jolene

my Inquisitor is Level 5 now. I'd like to play my level 2 witch if I can get at the low level table, if not, not a huge deal. I love make inquisitions as well.

    August 11, 2013

    • Jolene

      actually she's still a level 4, i miss-counted!

      August 11, 2013

  • Dave C.

FYI... I will not be attending. Kevin Cook will bring tracking sheets and collect results.

    August 11, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

Oh yeah, what did I say I was going to run for Tier 1-5? Umm.... ok, I could do "Night March of Kalkamedes" or "The Prenumbral Accords" or other. What sounds appealing kids? I noticed a bunch of newbies at the other table last Thursday as I was playing a druid meat-shield apparently...

    August 10, 2013

    • john

My table had 3 or 4 new guys I think. I would prefer the accords one, I have already done the night march.

      August 10, 2013

    • Dave C.

      Penumbral Accords it is.

      August 10, 2013

  • john

Im up for most things, either level 1 or level 4.

    August 9, 2013

  • Robert Edwin N.

    I'm only 8th level, but I'd gladly play with Chris @ 10-11...
