GM: Kjersten Gibson

Tier 1-2

Table: Gary Quick, Gary Quick+1, Mark G, Ralene, Steffie, Bryan G

When an old beggar shows up filthy and injured on the doorstep of the Augustana Pathfinder Lodge in Andoran and demands to be recognized as Andoran's one true Emperor, Venture-Captain Wallace is inclined to chase him off. But when the old beggar reveals a wayfinder and tells a tale of demons and portals to another world beneath the streets of Augustana, Wallace summons you from Absalom to investigate. Will you make it through sewers, swarms, and sanctuaries to uncover the truth or will the dangers of the Augustana underworld consume you forever?

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 5th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 4–5).

GM: Jack Brown

Tier 1-2

Table: Troy, Dave Salzer, Christopher B, Jesse, Josh, Dylan

Valuable relics of religious natures have been disappearing on their way into Absalom and the Pathfinder Society stands to lose countless irreplaceable artifacts if the cause isn't found. Amid the bustling markets of the God's Market in the shadow of the Starstone Cathedral, the Society sets a plan in motion to ensure the parties responsible for the recent thefts are caught and brought to justice.

Written by Dennis Baker.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #37: The Beggar's Pearl

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st to 7th level characters (Tiers: 1–2, 3–4, and 6–7).

GM: Sven  :-)

Tier 3-4  (APL 4.7?)

Table: Noah, Will, Curt Kline, David St. Amand, Jolene, Mark K

When a thief arrives at the Pathfinder Lodge in Almas bearing stolen artifacts and writings pointing the way to a lost dwarven gallery, you are sent into the rugged Aspodell Mountains to find the famed dwarven explorer last known to be searching for the gallery as well as the gallery itself. Once there you find a tangled web of darklands creatures in the thrall of a charismatic cult leader with ties to the darkest shadows of the First Realm.

Written by James F. Mackenzie

Pathfinder Society Scenario #38: No Plunder, No Pay

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 7th to 11th level characters (Tiers: 7-8 and 10-11).

GM: Ryan Blomquist

Tier 10-11

ONE SEAT AVAILABLE!

Table: Robert, Sarah, Dave, Ben, Kyle

The famed Chelish pirate, Captain Caradoc Alazario, infamous nephew of the mayor of Egorian and the brazen enemy of Her Majestrix's Navy, has finally been caught. Unfortunately for you, he was caught after stealing a fiendish artifact of twisted origins bound for the Grand Lodge in Absalom and is the only one who knows where that artifact came to rest off the coast of the forever rain-drenched Sodden Lands. You are charged by the Pathfinder Society to break Captain Alazario out of prison and use him to guide you to the lost artifact. Prison, pirates, and horrors of the deep await you in a land where an honest day's wage never comes honestly.

About this Game Day:

This is an announcement for a locally scheduled game day on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at Legion Games in Burnsville, Minnesota. Games last five hours (scheduled to end at 11:00) and the GMs arrive early for set-up and questions. While registration for events is not required, it is encouraged as registered attendees will be guaranteed a seat for play (information regarding registration can be found below).

We cater to new players and experienced Pathfinders alike, both young and old. All of our members are fantastic and display a true love for the game. We offer a friendly environment to meet new players and to experience the fun of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with other fans. As a family friendly group we encourage families to join the fun as well. It should be noted that although Pathfinder Society adventures are written with a PG-13 rating in mind, we place no age restriction on play (children under the age of 15 are expected to have parent or guardian supervision during the games).

I look forward to seeing you there!

This game day hosted by Kjersten Gibson (Event Organizer for Legion Games)

It was great, but I have a question. When you are about to have a TPK, and you could get away, is the honorable thing to go down with the group or is it OK to run away if you can't beat the boss? Last night I was the only level 2 with a party of level 1's and we were taking a lot of damage and not giving much damage and I decided to ruin away (travel domain on a human). It seemed that some people were shocked and made me feel like the honorable thing to do is to stay and die as a group.

    Please comment.

Don't let other people at the table make you feel bad about a decision you've made while playing your character. I've had tough moments where it's the choice between healing my ally who's 1 point away from dead dead and taking down the bad guy before he kills everyone else, and had to live with that decision (turns out I was able to take him down so another party member could get in a heal the ally before death became her). But just keep in mind, it's YOUR character, and it's YOUR decisions, and everyone will respect that. You can always talk to the GM afterwards if there is time and see how it might have played out if you would have stayed and it might have changed how you felt about it. My 2 cents I guess...

    • Kjersten G.

But then again, anyone who's played at my table knows I'm a total pushover and feel really really bad about killing PCs. And I give my re-roll to whoever needs it (your gun jams, I roll a crit, whatever). :-)

      September 13, 2013

  • Dave S.

Thanks for the coments, it was really bad, on the fist shot, I took 12 points of damage and I was the only level 2. There were 5 of us, 3 were down and 1 was almost down (0 HP I think) and I was at 1 hp (of 17). I decided time to flee!

I had a blast last night. Thank you, Kitty, for a fun adventure. And thank you to the group for a successful completion of the scenario.

    September 13, 2013

  • Jolene

    thanks for the fun!!

Kitty...I don't have a 4 anymore...made level 5 last night. I can play a pre-gen 4 in beggars Pearl if needed...play down or play my level 9 in Ryan's game...or even switch and play one of my level ones in one of the low tier games . Whatever you need me to do...I have not played any of these scarios so put me where needed to accommodate what u need.

    September 12, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

You can still play Beggar's Pearl with any character up to level 7. I think based on the APL ya'll would be playing up to tier 6-7 anyways. So it's up to you where you'd like to be. I think both 1-2 tables are full at the moment.

      September 12, 2013

    • Sven

Yah for Tier 6-7 Beggar's Pearl. Haven't gotten to run it at that tier before. 1-2, check, 3-4 check, 6-7... soon.

      September 12, 2013

  • Mark G.

Request for help. I have filled out my character sheet with what I understand, so it is incomplete. Please, is a more experience Pathfinder willing to help me finish it up? It is a 1st Level cleric (not a healbot). Hey! I just used jargon in a post. Thank you in advance.

    September 8, 2013

    • Jack B.

I might suggest this character sheet, then: http://www.pathfinder...

Failing using a digital format, you could either type out the character into an email, or just show up early on Thursday like Kitty suggested. There are always those there ready to help.

      1 · September 9, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

If you show up early, there will be people there to help with any character questions. I would say I'd be there early, but I'm incredibly unreliable as I try to do too much last minute...

      2 · September 12, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

OK, I think final revisions have been made (based on responses received). Please see if everything looks ok. :-) Otherwise last minute changes will be made on site.

    September 12, 2013

  • Ben B.

Oh man, my level 8 is going to be playing up to tier 10-11? I must pray to sarenrae to protect me, especially because I died the last time I played with Ryan as a GM. Those hags still haunt me!

    September 10, 2013

    • Sarah W.

You need the spell Bigby's Bouncy Bottom, which turns your bottoms into springs and gives you a +30 acrobatics to jump, but prevents any movement other than jumping.

      1 · September 12, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

I think I just need to buy 2 pairs of Boots of Springing and Striding for the tiger and then a ring of blinking to cause a mischance to hit? Or maybe a Scarab of Protection to give him spell resistance...

      September 12, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

Doing a little re-arranging. Please let me know if you'd be interested in GMing an extra table. :-)

    September 10, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

Hush! It's a secret! Legion totally won't mind, right? ;-P Anyways, well, I might have too many tables now. Ha! It's go big or go home!

      September 12, 2013

    • Jack B.

Sounds like we'll be handling the actual muster at game time! That's fine... I'll have a back-up plan.

      September 12, 2013

  • Sven

I'll snag that last spot at 10-11 if I'm not needed to GM.

    September 12, 2013

  • Ralene M.

Steffie and I have already played Beggar's Pearl. We would be okay playing The Citadel, God's Market, or The Prince of Augustana.

    September 12, 2013

  • Bryan G.

Kitty, I already played gods market. I can do citidal or flame. Lvl 3

    September 12, 2013

    • Robert Edwin N.

Likewise, I believe Josh R has already played Beggar's Pearl. He'd love to be at a 1-2 table.

      September 12, 2013

    • Josh R.

Robert is right about beggars. I have also already played citadel.

      September 12, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

Please be sure to check the new tables and let me know asap if you need to be moved! Thanks everyone!
AND BIG THANKS TO JACK & MARK & DYLAN WHO'VE STEPPED UP LAST MINUTE!! Thanks so much guys!

    September 12, 2013

  • Kjersten G.

No room for more players until we find another GM for the tables we currently have. Thanks!

    September 2, 2013

I could give you a ride there Sven

      1 · September 10, 2013

Dave - I can pick you up and bring you if you wanted to GM something. It looks like we can fill another table if you wanted to GM something tier 5-7. Just let me know! :-)

      September 10, 2013

  • Sven

Whoever is GMing Beggar's Pearl should get at me. I have the map for it and its biznonkers massive.

    September 6, 2013

    • Kjersten G.

Hey, can I pick that up tomorrow at Tower or have someone bring it YMB tomorrow night?

      September 6, 2013

  • Mark G.

Looks like there will be a few other Level 0 Pathfinder players at the Tier 1-2 table. I will not be alone! Lets be patient with each other.

    September 2, 2013

    • Jolene

everyone has to start somewhere! I still barely know how to play, but everyone is so helpful and nice!

I am brand new to Pathfinder. I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all the reading and research I have to for this game. GAH! I just want to play. :-)

      September 2, 2013
