Gold Canyon Trails - Most Awesome Ride!

One of the most beautiful places to ride in the Valley at the foothills of the Superstitions!

We will have a local rider (thank you Roy!), who knows the best trails to ride, and will lead us on a great day of riding.  You will experience the sweeping turns,  the sweet flow of the trails, some technical (steeper, steppy) sections that will put a wide grin on your face!  Not to mention the spectacular scenic back drop of the Superstition Mountains.  Plan on 18-20 miles, 3-4 hours. This ride is for experienced, intermediate riders who can ride technical trails and for longer periods of time.

THE RIDE START TIME IS 10:00 AM.  FOR THOSE COMING FROM SCOTTSDALE, WE CAN CARAVAN or CARPOOL,  LEAVING AT 9:00 AM.  PLEASE NOTE IN THE COMMENT SECTION IF YOU WANT TO CARAVAN.  Please arrive early to gear up as we will start the ride at 10:00.

Gold Canyon is southeast of Apache Junction,  a quick, easy, well-worth it 40 minute ride from Scottsdale (the 101 to 202 to the 60) but don't shy away because of the drive.  There is minimal traffic on the weekend and the beautiful destination is worth the ride!! You won't be disappointed.

We are meeting at the Peralta Trails Elementary School parking lot    Directions:  https://goo.gl/maps/WUdezh4uTgN2

No mountain bike ride is complete without re-hydrating and re-fueling after the ride so plan on extra time to join us for lunch at a great local Mexican restaurant!

Thanks for organizing this, Carole. It was a large group. Thanks to the trail guides and also the mobile bike repair that was there at the starting point.

Wow, what an awesome ride!! Beautiful scenery, weather could not have been more perfect and the riders were unbelievable! We were honored to ride with the builder of the trail system, Kevin Gorski and a fellow builder friend of his Dan and local resident/rider Roy Rauch. Roy has lead several rides for us and we are so grateful for his knowledge of the trails and the time he puts into to lead our rides. Thank you group for an awesome Sunday!!
