What we’re about
This group is for PARENTS and CAREGIVERS (especially mums) who have children in KEY STAGE-2 (7-11years old), to come together to make a difference, discuss issues and learn about the education of their children in this specific school age group. PLEASE NOTE THE GROUP IS FOR ADULTS ONLY. Most meetings will be online with the possibility of in-person meetings as the group expands. They will be facilitated by an experienced teacher and tutor. In each meeting the goal is to:
1. Enlighten parents by providing them with access to up-to-date and reliable educational resources and information. This includes offering workshops, seminars, and reading materials on topics such as effective communication strategies, understanding different learning styles, and navigating the complexities of modern educational systems or curriculum. In this way, we can build a community of parents who are well-informed and capable of making educated decisions that will positively influence children's academic and personal growth.
2. Empower parents by equipping them with the necessary tools and confidence to take an active role in their children's education. This can be achieved through practical training sessions on tutoring, time management, and the use of educational technology. Additionally, the aim is to reinforce parent's confidence and capability by fostering a supportive community where they can share experiences and advice. Empowered parents are better prepared to be proactive advocates and collaborators in their children's education, contributing significantly to an optimal learning environment.
3. Inspire children's love of learning: enlightened and empowered parents engage more deeply in their children's education. Inspired parents are more likely to cultivate a love of learning in their children, leading to an enhanced academic performance and overall well-being.
