The lineup:
First talk:
Dr. Harald Störrle - Process Transparency Through Data Mining: A Hospital Case Study

Abstract:
Procedures in hospitals require complex logistics involving dozens of stakeholders and multiple IT systems. Despite best efforts by experienced experts, deviations from the operation schedule occur time and again resulting in delays. If push comes to shove, surgeries have to be postponed which impacts both patients and medical staff, and may result in significant costs for the hospital, stress for medical staff, and worse medical outcomes. Using a case study from the University Hospital Munich (Klinikum der LMU), we demonstrate how such complex processes can be analyzed through a smart combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. In particular, we apply business process modeling, process mining, data analysis, and interactive visualizations to achieve sustainable process improvements.

Bio:
Harald Störrle has been working in the field of requirements, processes, and modeling since 2000. He collaborates with stakeholders and business departments, translating their needs and goals into a form that enables developers and architects to build great software. In a parallel universe, he is a scientist focusing on empirical methods.

Second talk:
Thomas Endres & Jonas Mayer - Humanoids driving go-karts

Abstract:
Robots driving go-karts at 30 km/h, guiding visitors through the German Museum and cycling - what could possibly go wrong when you are teaching robots to take over machines made for humans? This talk explores what worked, what failed, and which safety precautions are needed when humanoids work with people.

Bio:
Thomas Endres is a Managing Partner at TNG Technology Consulting in
Munich. Besides his "normal" work for the company and the management of client projects, he develops various prototypes together with the
Innovation Hacking Team - including an augmented reality application
that shows the world from an artist's perspective, real-time deepfakes,
or an AI for generating presentations. He works on applications in the
field of AR/VR and AI and gesture control, in order to make, for
instance, quadrocopters fly autonomously or to control them touch-free.
He is also involved in various open source projects. Thomas holds a
degree in computer science (TU Munich) and is a passionate software
developer. As Intel Software Innovator and Black Belt, he presents new
technologies such as AI, AR/VR and robotics around the world. His
achievements include, among others, a JavaOne Rockstar Award and several Best Speaker Awards.

Jonas Mayer is a Principal Consultant at TNG Technology Consulting. As Head of Innovation Hacking, his main focus lies on creating innovative showcases and prototypes in soft- and hardware. Since 2018 he's been working on numerous projects ranging from market-leading Realtime Deepfakes, an LLM Shitposting AI, all the way to autonomous drone racing. As a keynote speaker, he has been talking about the Innovation Hacking projects at over a hundred conferences all across IT and Tech. Prior to joining TNG, Jonas studied Informatics: Games Engineering at TU Munich. More information can be found at innovation-hacking.com.
