• What we'll do Temecula Valley H.S. has great upper level parking, restrooms, shaded track and water stations. Park in last lot past the gym on Rancho Vista Rd. Here are a couple workouts or feel free to do your own workout as well. Suggested Track workout- 1-- 6 or 8 One mile warmup - followed by 20 leg swings and 2 x 50 m high knee kicks. Long workout: 6 X 800s @ 5K / 10K pace. followed by 4 mins of recovery for each set. Short workout: 6 X 600s @ 5K / 10K pace. followed by 3 mins of recovery for each set. One mile cool down. 2-- ladders One mile warmup - followed by 20 leg swings and 2 x 50 m high knee kicks. Long workout: 12, 8, 4 1200 @ 1/2 marathon pace - 400m slow jog recovery 800 @ 10K pace - 4 min. recovery 400 @ 5K pace - 3 min. recovery 400, 800, 1200 again. Short workout: 8, 6, 4 800 @ 1/2 marathon pace 600 @ 10K pace 400 @ 5K pace 400, 600, 800 again One mile cool down. 3--500s and 1,000s slow one mile warm up jog, clockwise. 20 X leg Swings / 2 X 50 yd high knee kicks. * 500 @ 5K pace, followed by 330m recovery jog. * 1,000 @ 10K pace, followed by 200m recovery job. Repeat two more times. slow one mile cool down, clockwise. Total distance for workouts: * 6 miles.
