PLAY-TWELVE ANGRY JURORS

Our member, Steve Schmalz is in the cast of this play. He said that it is very good and very well done. He hasn't steered us wrong yet and I like to support our members.

The stakes are high in this classic courtroom drama. A 19-year-old has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father and a jury of 12 men and women must decide his fate. These dozen nameless jurors find themselves in the role of potential executioner, but first they must face themselves, their biases and their own sense of justice. What starts as an open-and-shut case soon twists into an edge-of-your-seat drama as each juror begins to question the reasoning behind his or her vote in this brilliant and popular drama from playwright Reginald Rose, originally titled Twelve Angry Men.

A blistering character study and an examination of the American melting pot and the judicial system that keeps it in check, Twelve Angry Jurors holds at its core a deeply patriotic belief in the U.S. legal system.

EACH PERSON IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PURCHASING THEIR OWN TICKET.  THIS PERFORMANCE  IS PAY WHAT YOU CAN, (at the door).   THE STANDARD TICKET PRICE IS $10.00. FULL PRICE ADVANCE TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE ON LINE. http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/536356 GOLD STAR IS ALSO OFFERING TICKETS FOR $5.00+ THE SERVICE FEE.  It will be possible for us to sit together as a group, but I have to let them know how many people will be coming so seats can be blocked off for us. Look for our sign. Showtime is  7:30.  I will be in the lobby until 7:20, please try to be there by then. REMEMBER TO COME IN THE NORTH ENTRANCE.

I don't know the area around the High School at all, but I will try to find a place to gather for dinner prior to the show for those interested. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

I wanted to let you know that Tammy and I will be at the food court in the Eden Prairie Mall around 5:30. Tammy says it's not very big so people should have no problem finding us. Look in Zone D on the upper level. Just to make it easier, why don't we say, meet by Lee Ann Chin, then you can look around and see what you like. We will have our sign. It looks like there are some good choices. Here's the link to the map: http://m.edenprairiecenter.com/files/EPC-Stores-Listing-for-Website-Updated-1.22.14.pdf

We will be at the High School by 7:00. Seats will be sectioned off for us, you can meet us in the lobby or look for the seats.

Should I purchase a ticket on line or will tickets be available the night of the show?

Either way is okay. Steve says the theater is huge and there won't be a problem with tickets selling out. I plan to buy mine at the door.

The Eden Prairie mall is just up the street. The food court would be easiest.

Sounds great, but I already have plans for that evening.

I edited the map link above to show exactly where the North Entrance is.

One thing about parking - the Eden Prairie Community Center also uses the north parking lot, so the earlier you get there, the better - to avoid parking all the way on the other side of the building and having to walk around. At the High School, I'm told the North Entrance is the only one open, so it's best to park near there.
