Meeting Description: Per their website:
TEN STORY RELAPSE is the kind of band whose lyrical puns and double entendres make you stop and think about what you're singing along to. The title of their album, "Antidisestablishmentarianism," one of the longest words in the English language, is a metaphor for the long road of pursuing your dreams with originality through all the imperfections and evolutions of life a?? a sort of breaking down and building up. The record was engineered, mixed and produced by Geoff Melkonian and Paul Mahern (Josh Joplin, Modern Skirts and Iggy Pop, Mellencamp, the Fray). The band got an unanticipated lift when 16-year-old peace activist Ava Lowery was featured on CNN and created a homemade video for the song "Who would Jesus Bomb" and posted it to her Web site as a sort of anthem for Lowery's peace movement.

Local musician Lexi Street fuses elements of jazz, rock, and pop. Lexi writes breathy music with sweltering lyrics that would make you want to come down to the deep south and stay awhile. Her guitarist, Gary O'Bryan co-wrote the Britney Spears/Madonna's single "Me Against The Music."

Tickets are $12 at the door; $10 in advance but w/ a service charge. The listening room is smoke free! If you prefer to hear the music on the smokey back patio instead, there is no charge, just head up the stairs and turn right into the patio/bar area instead of turning left into the listening room.
