Towelhead free screening at Atlantic Station

Hi guys- I got an email from GSU Cinefest about a free screening 8/18/08 7pm at Atlantic Station Stadium 16 for Towelhead. Aaron Eckhart's in it (If you like him-you've got to see In the Company of Men-1997- got Netflix?) I don't think I'll be able to attend but I've been waiting for this movie! Therefore I may post it as an event when it comes out this fall/Sept.

A bit of caution: there is a cringe factor to this movie -when you go to the movie's website to see the trailer you'll get that feeling, plus the review on imdb further explains it:

If you want to attend, you have to RSVP by 8/14 (this Thurs) to the email address in the pass, which I've up/downloaded to the Files link on our meetup page. You may have to be signed on to meetup to access the file. Then print the pass to bring w/ you to the movie. I was leary about forwarding the email to you since the movie pass was sent as a jpeg attachment, so now it's on the meetup link for you to retrieve.

Here's the email message from Cinefest (I recommend signing up for their mailing list since they play good movies):

Hello! We are passing along an email pass to an advance screening of the film Towelhead for Monday, August 18th at Atlantic Station. Immediately following the screening, there will be a Q&A with Towelhead director Alan Ball (?American Beauty? and "Six Feet Under.") Please plan to stay for the entire event.
*You must rsvp to the email in the attached pass by Thursday and then print the pass out when you attend the screening.*
Towelhead, stars Aaron Eckhart, Toni Collette, Maria Bello, Peter Macdissi, and welcoming newcomer, Summer Bishil. Towelhead is directed by Oscar winner/Atlanta native Alan Ball.
Towelhead is based on the critically acclaimed novel by Alicia Erian about a young girl, Jasira (Bishil) who wants something she can?t define; attention, love, acceptance or a normal life. Unfortunately, she doesn?t know the right way to find it. When Jasira?s mother exiles her to Houston to live with her strict, quick-to-anger Lebanese father (Macdissi), she quickly learns what aspects of herself to suppress in front of him. In private, however, she conducts her sexual awakening with all the false confidence that pop culture and her neighbor's (Eckhart) magazines have provided. The result is a funny, dark, bold and harrowing look at the confusion and misguided exploration of youth in America ?s track houses, public schools and suburban wastelands. Towelhead is rated R for sexual content, abuse and language. For a trailer and more information please visit http://www.towelhea d-themovie. com
