At AMD, we make extensive use of database technologies to track and improve our chip design processes. We have a very large, high performance MySQL DB, and we're looking for someone to develop and support metrics analysis and reporting for our design teams.

Ideally, we would like someone to work in our Austin, TX office, but our site in Boxborough, MA is an option. No recruiting agencies please. Here's the job description:

Work with project teams to gather new requirements, develop code to automate reporting, and provide tactical guidance. Using personal experience and knowledge gained from project team interaction, take on future development of metric based methodologies and work flows.

Must have demonstrated experience designing and supporting very large, high performance MySQL databases, managing SQL/relational data, and optimizing database queries. Experience with:
• Scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Rails and Java script is a must.
• Developing web based GUI/metric reporting tool is greatly appreciated.
• Chip verification flows, methodologies and terminologies is a plus.
• C++, Object oriented programming skills is also desired.
