Social paced hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve. We will hike for one to two hours on various trails. Natural surface somewhat challenging trail with some hills, rocks, creatures (smile), etc. it could also be muddy in places. Please be sure to dress comfortably with appropriate shoes, bottle water and a cell phone in case we get lost. (smile, lol)
fyi- it's best to have a waist pack or a small back pack to carry the water bottle. you might want to also consider trail mix/snack if you plan to hike the full two hours.
There is a restroom and water fountain at the trail head, but no facilities out on the trail.
The hike may be canceled after rain due to wet trail conditions. Please check our meetup group website prior to leaving your residence. If we have to cancel then we will post it at least an hour prior to the hike.
$ 3 or more donations to the Nature Preserve are welcomed. Cedar Ridge Preserve is a not-for-profit natural habitat of 633 acres featuring 10 miles of hiking trails, a native plant nursery, butterfly gardens, and picnic areas for additional information please check out: http://www.audubondallas.org/cedarridge.html please print a copy of the trail map.
