What and/or who inspired you to express your natural hair?

As I truly begin to accept and love who I was 100% I thought about going natural as an expression of how much I love my race and how God made me. Chris Rock movie Good Hair was the ulimate deciding factor. It made me realize even more that black people feel like their natural beauty, hair, traits, etc is not good enough and that we must look like society wants us to so that we are acceptable to them. So my natural hair is a statement of how I love being black and that I am confident in the skin I'm in!!

how long have you been natural

I have been totally natural since March 4, 2011 yet my desire to be natural started years before. Not only am I natural but so are my two daughters. I love being natural because it shows the world how confident you are.
