What and/or who inspired you to express your natural hair?

When I was a teenager, I knew I would grow locs when I reached my 30s. In my 20s and early 30s I was so addicted to relaxers and weave. I did not have confidence in the natural me. But after my sister and two brothers confidently rocked their locs, I finally built up the courage to embrace my original self.

how long have you been natural

I love my locs : ). I will never forget the day that I bought a pair of scissors and cut off my relaxer. Bags and bags of relaxed hair lol. That was the birth of my appreciation for the real me. I have no regrets at all. Life is good : )
