Pizza Party at Brixx

On May 20th, my wife (Vicki) and I will be celebrating our 1st full year on a total plant based diet. During the Earth Day event at Centennial Park, we discovered the group ‘Nashville Vegans’ and I signed us up. We would like to have a Meetup to celebrate this occasion and to take this opportunity to meet other vegetarians and vegans in the Nashville area. The big question was ‘Where to meet?”

We occasionally go to
Brixx Pizza in Hendersonville, TN. They have a relatively large area for hosting parties and such and so we figured it might be a great place to host our first Meetup! They have a great
Wood-Roasted Vegetable pizza

that we enjoy with wild mushrooms, broccoli, onions, peppers and fresh oregano with tomato sauce and mozzarella on a wheat crust for $8.95. They also have Vegan cheese for those that like the soy cheese, we never get any cheese, and it is still very good.

They also have a number of salads. Our favorite is the
Mediterranean Salad with fresh chopped romaine hearts, drizzled with house-made feta dressing, roma tomatoes, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, feta cheese (we don’t get the cheese on this either, but it is still very good) and banana peppers for $5.95 as well as a number of other salads. They have a pretty good menu and will work with you to make modifications by leaving meat off of any of them. For the past couple of months I have also been in the process of trying to organize a Tennessee chapter of Earthsave called EarthSave Tennessee. We have had a couple of get-togethers (one potluck and a meeting at the Wild Cow) but we haven’t had much success yet. So I was extremely happy to find Nashville Vegans so we can form some relationships with others in the area. We would love to meet you and hope you can attend! Trying to stay away from the weekends we, decided to have it on June 1st, a Tuesday evening. (I know it is a work night, but you still have to eat.) Scott Vaden
