Burch Woods Trail Night Hike (from Warner Parks Nature Center)
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! Join your hiking buds for a moderate, but FAST-PACED 3-mile evening hike! We will hike the NEW trail across the street-- The "Burch Woods trail." It offers a nice variety of terrain, and some beautiful under travelled woodlands! **IMPORTANT** No DOGS allowed on this trail. This is NOT a beginner hike, due to fast pace w/ hills. We will start promptly at 6:35, and begin from the Nature Center. The whole hike starting from the nature center is about 3.18 miles with 2 BIG hills. It should take us around 1 hour and 10 minutes at a FAST pace of 3 miles per hour. Be sure to bring plenty of water, and wear good shoes, as there may be mud and or slippery rocks in some areas. (poles are optional) *IMPORTANT-- Do not use your GPS to get you to the park--They have been known to get you lost! How to get here: the Nature Center is in Edwin Warner park; the entrance to the park is just past the Old Hickory Blvd and Hwy 100 Junction in Bellevue. When you enter the park, turn left toward the nature center; parking will be on your left and the nature center on your right. ***PLEASE RSVP WITH INTEGRITY***

What we're about

In today's go-go-go, everybody's behind, got to get more done world, it seems like our work week keeps us stressed to the max. That makes our weekends even more important, as a way to get out and get away from all the stresses of our jobs. But sometimes we're just too busy to find different things to do or meet new people. One group of Tennesseans has found a way around that time crunch. They meet up through the internet...first on a web page, then live and in person...and always with a common goal of outdoor adventure. Meet Nashville Hiking Meetup.

In addition to our regular hikes and other outdoor adventures, we also plan social events and organize community volunteer projects such as park cleanup and trail building!

Get exercise,

. Make new friends,
. . Respect the environment,
. . . Give back to the community,
. . . . Laugh a lot

What more could you want? :-)
