Looking for a unique way to beat the heat? Then kick back, relax and join us inside the park office for this entertaining and educational look at our beautiful planet. The landmark BBC documentary series "Planet Earth" has been called the greatest nature/wildlife series ever produced. Five years in the making, it was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC, and also the first to be filmed in high definition. The series was co-produced by the Discovery Channel and NHK in association with the CBC, and was described by its makers as "the definitive look at the diversity of our planet".
We plan to show two 50-minute episodes of the series. There will be a brief intermission, which might include a surprise or two.
Feel free to bring food, popcorn and beverages.
Movie Night is part of Long Hunter's "Friday Night at the Park" series. Other regular Friday night programs include Dancing in the Park, Trivia Night at the Park & Campfire Night at the Park.
Movie Night at the Park is sponsored by The Friends of Long Hunter State Park (http://friendsoflonghunter.com (http://friendsoflonghunter.com/)).
