Mossy Ridge Trail at Percy Warner - night trek for experienced hikers 9/17

HIKE STATS:
Time:  Hike starts promptly at 6:00 P.M.
Place: Deep Well trailhead of Percy Warner Park
Distance: 4.5 total miles
Estimated Hike Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Difficulty: Moderate (Experienced hikers only. Night hikes are not best for beginners.)
Hike Leader: Mike Hicks
Notes: Dogs on a leash okay (Park regs require no more than 6-ft leash - you may be ticketed if you fail to use a leash!)
You must have a headlamp or flashlight - It will be dark before we finish!

The Mossy Ridge Trail is the longest of the three loop footpaths in the Warner Parks. An ideal training hike, the path leaves the Deep Well trailhead and winds through rich hollows and dry ridges of the Harpeth Hills, making frequent but never sustained elevation changes. Scattered in the woods are big trees and a spring-fed waterfall. At 4.5 miles, the Mossy Ridge Trail qualifies as a full-fledged hike that will not disappoint.

Hello, New to Nashville from Hawaii. hiked all over the islands from easy nature trails to those more reminiscent of a climb than a hike.

Hi Everyone! Personal note: I'm having a yard sale Sept 21 to benefit a hunger relief nonprofit (the one I am hiking the Grand Canyon for) so if anyone has gear, clothes, household stuff or anything else you'd like to donate I can get it from you on Tuesday or I can arrange a pick up if needed. Looking forward to hiking Tuesday!
