Radnor Lake - Moderate Hike - 3/15

HIKE STATS:
Meeting Place: Trailhead at Granny White Pike/Visitor Center entrance
Hike Distance: up to 5 miles
Estimated Hike Time: max 2 hours

Event Leader: Hassan

Difficulty: Moderate

We'll start at the Granny White Pike entrance parking lot, and depending on what the group feels like, we can do a mixture of the trails. Kids are certainly welcome, but pets are not allowed on the trails.

Note that on good weather days Radnor parking can get crowded. Please observe all traffic flow and parking rules posted.

Some instructions:

1. DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. You must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park. On maps Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars but it is not.

2. There is only one parking lot on the Granny White end so it won't be hard to find us. We'll be the crowd of people standing around.

3. There is not a sign for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike. Look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

    Great hike with excellent weather! Thanks Hassan for being our leader. This is my third hike at Radnor Lake, and not in the best of condition, after a long cold winter, but will do Ganier and South Cove by the end of April..and several pounds lighter!

    Due to the weather condition, we will cancel Saturday’s hike and postpone it to March 15th.
    Although I will be there at 9.15 for a shorter hike, Please update your plans accordingly.

    Gene;
    Yes you may bring up to 2 people.
    The shorter hike could be around the lake with less incline weather permitting.
