Radnor Lake Hike 6PM on 6/16

Meeting Place: Bike rack at the Nature Center at the Granny White Pike entrance to the park
Hike Distance: I will do 4.5 miles, for whomever would like to do the entire hike - if you do not want to do to the entire hike, there are several options you may choose for shorter hikes
Estimated Hike Time: approximately 2 hours for 4.5 miles
Difficulty: Moderate Terrain / Brisk Pace (with only a few, short rest breaks)

We'll start at the bike rack at the Granny White Pike entrance parking lot and do a brisk-paced hike for 4.5 miles which will take approximately two hours.  I will take only a few, very short (approximately one minute) rest breaks.  Please remember that pets are not allowed on the trails.

Please observe all traffic flow and parking rules.

Some instructions:

1. If you need to reach me (Tim), my cell phone number is 615.428.1628.

2. DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. Because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park, you must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road - on maps, Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars, but it is not.

3. There is only one parking lot on the Granny White Pike side, so it will not be hard to find us at the bike rack on the sidewalk at the parking lot.

4. There is not a sign for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike - look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

Sorry to have to cancel but I need to start earlier than 6 pm and I can't get to the park by 5 pm for the earlier hike. Enjoy your hike!

I am moving the rest of this month's hikes back to 5:30 (its better for me too), so I hope that will help in the future...
