Radnor Lake Hike 7/14

  • Radnor Lake Nature Center

1132 Otter Creek Road, Nashville, TN (map)

    36.057644 -86.793880

  • Meet at the bike rack at the Nature Center
  • Come out for a hike at beautiful Radnor Lake.

Meeting Place: Bike rack at the Nature Center at the Granny White Pike entrance to the park
Hike Distance: We usually do both ridges, about 4.5 miles. You can also break off and do a shorter hike if you like.
Estimated Hike Time: up to 2 hours
Difficulty: Moderate Terrain / Brisk Pace (only a few short rest breaks)

    1. DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. Because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park, you must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road - on maps, Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars, but it is not.

    2. There are no signs for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike - look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

    3. Pets are not allowed on the trails, and observe traffic flow and parking rules.

    4. You can reach me (Tim) at[masked] (cell).

I did Ganier ridge and then headed back to the parking lot via the lake trail soaking wet! I didn't see another soul the whole time! :)

Rain would be ok, but there is lightning, so I've canceled this week's hike. Stay safe!

Weather is looking nasty so I'm going to take a rain check on this one.
