Bells Bend Park - easy to moderate farmland-ish hike along the river #ALLOUT2017

HIKE STATS:
Meeting Time: 9:00 a.m.
Meeting Place: in front of the outdoor center
Hike Distance: up to 3 to 5 miles
Estimated Hike Time: 90 min
Difficulty: Easy
Hike Leader: Lisa Wilbur
Notes: Kids welcomed. Dogs on a leash are cool.

Join us for an easy to moderate hike along the Bell's Bend farmland-like trails. Be sure to bring water and your camera. Your dog on a leash is welcomed! Be sure to take the second entrance to Bells Bend and meet in front of the Outdoor Center.

Bell's Bend Park is a 808 acre park of farmland next to the Cumberland River. Much of the hiking trails follow old farm roads that were associated with the historic Buchanan House.

If you use GPS, be sure to map 4187 W Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 37218. If you don't put the "west" in there, your GPS will freak out.

I think we met and spoke for the first section of the trail, and when I turned around, you were gone! If that was you, I'm glad you are alright, and it was good to meet you. Maybe we'll meet again on the trail.

The meetup was smaller than expected by about half, but I think the size of people was better that way. There were hikers of all experience levels including beginners like me, so I always had company bringing up the rear of the line! I do wish we had stopped to catch our breath more often, but I toughed it out. Looking forward to the next hike.

Might still be a little muddy at the park tomorrow- just a heads up :) Looks like a cool partly sunny day! See y'all there!

Sorry for the change; I'd really like to go but haven't been feeling well and don't want to chance the cold. Hopefully it will come around again when it's a bit warmer.

I just entered this into Google Maps to see how far it is from my house, but maps offers two different zip codes .... about 30 minutes apart. Is this the one in West Nashville or towards Hermitage?

West Nashville- close to Ashland City or Scottsboro
