Daddy’s Creek Section of Cumberland Trail with State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath

  • Cumberland Mountain State Park office

24 Office Dr., Crossville, TN (map)

    35.900871 -84.997337

  • Meet Ranger Hedgepath at the Cumberland Mountain State Park office and carpool from there.
  • Carpool from Nashville/Hermitage meets at 6:45 a.m. for 7:00 departure:
Kroger, Northlake Village, 5544 Old Hickory Blvd, Hermitage, TN 37076

Join State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath for a hike on the new section of the Cumberland Trail along Daddy’s CreekThe trail features a great overlook of the gorge, cliffs, and a lovely walk along the creek. It will be about 6 miles roundtrip and moderate in difficulty. Of course the naturalist will share a lot of nature interpretation along the way.

Carpooling is necessary as there are few parking spots at trailhead. Meet Ranger Hedgepath at Cumberland Mountain State Park at 9:00 a.m. central. This is a great opportunity to stay overnight  at a cabin at Cumberland Mountain State Park

Pets on a leash are welcome and children are encouraged to join us. Be sure to bring water and a lunch to have a picnic beside the creek. Good boots and walking sticks or poles are recommended.
