From Sidekick to Hero

This month, Nashville Software School graduate Marcus Fulbright will join us to give his first talk to the group:

Many developers and managers prefer not to hire or work with junior developers. Probably because junior developers seem like the annoyingly incapable sidekick that exists solely to provide comedic relief. But that sidekick can grow up and become a superhero in his or her own right. To some this seems like a lot of work that they're not used to doing or don't know how to do. But this task does not have to be as daunting as it seems. By learning more about what junior developers need to succeed and employing some simple strategies and tactics you can create your own superhero developer.

And thank you to our sponsor this month: Clariture Health

Clariture is a growth marketing platform for hospitals and health systems that drives targeted patient acquisition & patient engagement across digital, social, search & mobile, and measures the cross-channel ROI in real-time.

I may be biased, but I think Marcus should give his presentation to other dev meetups.

Marcus did a great job helping to close the gap between newb and veteran devs.
