What organizations or people inspire you, and why?

Geoff Lawton inspires me because of his application of Permaculture principles to all climate types. Really, I am inspired by people who are committed to creating an artistic life and then manifesting it.

Would you like to share something with us?

I would like to share my gardening skills with the group.

What do you want to try?

I would like to try using cobb to build things and also explore making a walipini - which is an underground greenhouse. I also would like to try making wattled fences, and living willow fences.

What about Natural Building interests you?

I like the idea of using the materials that are all around us. I love anything low-tech but sustainable.

What do you want to learn?

I would like to learn how to build different types of fences and trellises from branches, and how to build structures from cobb.

I am a permaculture designer and teacher living in North Lawndale. I would love to learn more about natural building - especially making cobb ovens and cobb benches for gardens.
