Dear nature lovers, Have you ever walked along a beautiful river or in a park and been put off by all the plastic bottles and beer cans and other assorted trash? Well, here is your chance to do something about it.
Join Sierra club's Pat Hopson and Carol on a 3.6 mile (each way) walk and clean up near Edwards Ferry, about 35 miles east of DC along the Potomac.

We'll meet at the Carderock recreation area at the first parking lot after you turn right at the T-intersection, and carpool from there. Directions to the parking lot are at

After the cleanup we'll go for lunch at the quaint and friendly restaurant Bassett's in Poolesville. Please bring work gloves. trash bags will be provided. Also indicate in your rsvp if you will be driving.

PLEASE CALL PAT AT[masked] if you are coming.
